Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2021The 34th KCA ceremony was a high-energy, hybrid celebration of pop culture, blending in-person and virtual appearances due to the ongoing pandemic. The show featured an interactive fan wall and made extensive use of XR technology throughout the broadcast. Inspired by the digital world kids love, the creative direction leaned into playful UI elements, expressive emojis, and Nickelodeon’s iconic slime—capturing the spirit of online expression and transforming it into a dynamic, animated visual experience.
My Role: Designer
I led the design of the full on-air promo package, including title cards, alpha graphics, lower thirds, and logo stings. I worked closely with the Art Director to develop storyboards and styleframes that brought the visual storytelling to life—especially for a one-minute promo sizzle used in the early pitch phase. From emoji-inspired motion elements to UI-driven layouts, my role was to shape a cohesive visual system that felt energetic, expressive, and unmistakably “Nick.”
